Structure
PTFE Tubing (Polytetrafluoroethylene) is a transparent, chemically inert,
and non-toxic fluoropolymer tubing with excellent chemical resistance and a very smooth
surface that enables easy fluid flow. It is highly flexible and commonly used with
microfluidic fittings in low-pressure applications.
With a melting point of 327°C, PTFE tubing is suitable for high-temperature applications
up to 260°C (500°F). It also resists melt-off from soldering irons, making it ideal for
electronics and electrical insulation due to its excellent dielectric properties.
PTFE tubing offers non-stick characteristics, allowing efficient transport of fluids with
minimal resistance. It is compatible with most industrial solvents, chemicals, and corrosive
materials, and can be steam sterilized without affecting its physical properties.
Typically translucent white, PTFE tubing may vary slightly in appearance depending on wall
thickness and production lot. Colored PTFE tubing is also available on request for easier
system identification and routing.
Applications
Aerospace &Transportation Technology, Electronics, Components & Insulators, Chemical & Pharmaceutical Manufacturing, Food Processing, Environmental Sciences, Air Sampling, Fluid Transfer Devices and Water Processing Systems.
